Window Treatments…

I’ve agonized over the window treatments for our house. There are so many options (most of which are frightening). I started with getting some simple silk dupioni drapes from JC Penney for the living room and the bedroom. They actually look great and although they are pole pocket which is not my favorite style, they look great and more casual when clipped with rings on a pole. But, I’ve made the commitment today to the other rooms. So, above we have sheers for the bedroom from West Elm.

For the top of the 3rd floor stairwell we decided on this blossom style from Urban Outfitters.

JC Penney has a new line called ‘American Living’ which is great. I love their classic patterns in stark preppy colors. They have easy options that both a man and woman can agree on. I like the vertical stripe and it matches the green walls in the man-room perfectly.

I liked the idea of these for the bathroom, but our window is oversized so the dimensions don’t work out. But I love the fun Scandinavian feeling of the pattern.  I’m thinking I’ll create a custom curtain for the bathroom window out of some old vintage scraps I have stored away.

Since we have radiators, I’m looking into window treatments that won’t rest against them. Here is a Roman Blind with ribbon detail that I’m liking for the living room.

Here is a pocket shade which is another contender.
