After a ton of research we have finally decided on a fence.  We will be going with this cedar style with pressure treated posts.

I love the minimal look of these modular spaces.

This shed is a bit too ‘country’ for me, but I love the idea of making a shed which can act as a cold-house for plants during the winter, and it can double as a tool shed.  I’d love to make a modern version of this with corrugated tin and re-purposed old paned windows.

While searching around on the internet, I cam across these adorable eco-friendly dog houses.

I found this one on ebay, I love the simplicity of it.

There is something that I love about a classic outhouse.  On the farm that I grew up on, we used ours as a pool shed.

I’m a huge fan of ornamental grasses.  I found these designs which are really helpful for getting good variation in hight which is going to be crucial for our urban garden.

Some of you may know that our dog’s name is “Joey Bag of Donuts”, when we came across a donut for dogs at Doggie Style this past weekend we just couldn’t resist.  He really enjoyed it…

wicker_chair.jpg

So, we’ve searched high and low for some not-too-hideous outdoor furniture.  Pier1 hosts the best option under $100 (although you have to purchase the cushions separately).  I found an amazing picture while thumbing through a copy of Axel Vervoordt’s Timeless Interiors and he had some lovely pics of a large long cushion folded in the middle to span the back and seat of the chair.  I may have to experiment with a sewing project to bring the look alive.
