I spotted this lobster trap table over at the Antiquarium in Philadelphia. I thought it was so clever, until I realized that it’s actually oddly common to make furniture out of such traps. I googled it, and there is even a site that makes nothing but lobster trap furniture, lobsterfurniture.com.

Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008After much thought, and searching the answer to our dining room table appeared. Our family friends happened to have this amazing table which was perfect for our needs. We snapped it up right away, and had it stripped (as it was covered in brown paint). Upon stripping the table we realized that the top and bottom of the table were not originally together. The legs appear to be from the late 1890′s and the top I’m not too sure about.

Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008New sofa…
Monday, November 5th, 2007Today we drove out to New Jersey to the Macy’s furniture showroom. Although I love boutique furniture sellers, after closing costs, Macy’s is looking pretty good right now. I was delighted to find this retro style sofa. It’s very comfortable and is available at the store in a wide variety of colors. It’s available for $629, and leaves room in our budget for some great accent pillows.
